Terms of Service

The agreement between ARC and its users.

Last updated

18 August 2026. These are the operator's own terms for using ARC. They are not legal advice, and they do not override rights you have under the law where you live.

1. Who we are and what ARC does

ARC is a marketplace where employers publish scoped, outcome-based briefs and workers apply to deliver them. ARC is a venue and a record-keeping layer. We are not a party to any contract you form with another user, not an employer of any worker, and not an agent, broker, escrow agent, bank, or money transmitter.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts. You may not use ARC if you are subject to sanctions, or if you are located in a jurisdiction where using a crypto-denominated marketplace is prohibited. You are responsible for determining whether your use of ARC is lawful where you live.

3. Wallet identity and account security

Your Solana wallet is your ARC identity. You authenticate by signing a message with your wallet; ARC never holds your private keys, seed phrase, or funds. Anyone who controls your wallet controls your ARC account. We cannot recover, freeze, reverse, or reassign a wallet, and we cannot restore access to a lost key.

Do not create accounts to impersonate others, evade a suspension, or inflate reputation. Reputation manipulation, coordinated reviews, and sockpuppet accounts are grounds for removal.

4. Employers: posting briefs

You are responsible for the accuracy of every brief: scope, deliverables, budget, currency, and deadline. Do not post work that is illegal, deceptive, or designed to mislead investors or users — including market manipulation, fake volume, fake engagement presented as organic, undisclosed paid promotion where disclosure is required, phishing, or drainer-adjacent work. Once a worker begins under an accepted contract, you may not unilaterally change the scope; agree a revised contract instead.

5. Workers: delivering work

You work as an independent contractor, not an employee of ARC or, unless separately agreed in writing, of the employer. You are responsible for your own taxes, licences, and compliance. Deliver only work you have the right to deliver; do not submit plagiarised, AI-passed-off-as-original where originality was required, or third-party material you cannot licence.

6. Contracts, payouts, and non-custody

Accepting an application creates a contract record on ARC that tracks scope, budget, and status. Committing a budget records the employer's stated intent to pay; it does not transfer or lock funds.

Payouts are direct, non-custodial USDC transfers on Solana, signed by the employer's own wallet and sent straight to the worker's wallet. ARC verifies the transaction on chain and records it. ARC never takes possession of the funds at any point.

On-chain transfers are final and irreversible. Neither ARC nor anyone else can claw back, reverse, or refund a confirmed Solana transaction. Verify the recipient address, amount, and network before you sign.

You are responsible for network fees, for having the correct token account, and for sending on the correct network. Funds sent to a wrong address, on a wrong network, or in a wrong token are unrecoverable.

7. Fees

Any ARC platform fee is disclosed in the app before you commit to a contract. If we change fees we will show the new fee in the app before it applies; changes never apply retroactively to contracts already accepted.

8. Disputes between users

Disagreements about delivery, quality, or payment are between the employer and the worker. Our role, and its limits, are set out in the Dispute & Refund Policy.

9. Prohibited use

No illegal work, fraud, money laundering or sanctions evasion, malware, unauthorised access, doxxing or harassment, sexual content involving minors, sale of stolen credentials or data, scraping or automated abuse of ARC, or attempts to interfere with the platform's operation or security.

10. Content and reviews

You keep ownership of what you post; you grant ARC a non-exclusive licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating the marketplace. Reviews must reflect a genuine contract experience. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove an account for breach of these Terms, fraud risk, or legal requirement. You may stop using ARC at any time; contract and payout records are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers and limits

ARC is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that a brief will be filled, that a worker will deliver, that an employer will pay, that the platform will be uninterrupted, or that any counterparty is who they claim to be. Crypto assets are volatile and blockchain networks can fail, congest, or fork; we are not responsible for network outages, RPC failures, wallet software bugs, or the acts of third parties.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ARC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, for lost profits, or for lost or unrecoverable crypto assets. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the platform fees you paid to ARC in the three months before the claim.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use ARC after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
